I use them for parties even now. My favorites for the aluminum one are Swedish Meatballs and Sweet and Sour Mini Sausage Links. One thing, it's sometimes hard to find alcohol for the burner. I started using canned fuel, Sterno for the aluminum one. Never have had the problem of water boiling over. My silver one once belonged to my grandmother who gave it to my aunt who then gave it to me over 25 years ago.It looks very much like the one in the picture.Martha W.
