1881 Illustrated Rooms
I have four images below that came from Harper's Monthly from Rideau Hall. The fourth one is rather dark but there are a few items you can make out. I give these as samples of furnishings in some of the wealthier homes from 1881.
It's fun to have a glimpse into the past. This reminds me a bit of a couple of plantations my husband and I visited in South Carolina. Where is Rideau Hall?
