This tidbit is a bit unusual for this blog but something I found fascinating with regard to the industrial era of the 19th Century. The Boat that Guy Built is a six week series done by the BBC but can be seen on You Tube. In each episode Guy explores different aspects of inventions and industry during the 19th Century as well as using these pieces to rebuild a canal boat. Below is a link to the first episode.
